Proximity control can be achieved as a stand alone option on individual doors or as part of a computer controlled network.  There is a large variety of control unit readers available for the doors. Readers generally fall into one of three types - proximity, card or keypad.

The advantage of a computer controlled system is that doors can be added as required and the software feeds back comprehensive time stamped reports.  Readers can be enabled or cancelled from the central security teminal for individual or all doors.  The stand alone system requires that each door be physically enabled for each reader.

The problem is well known.  You have one front door and several self-contained apartments inside. Whilst individual door bells are adequate if there are only a small number of flats the need to come down and open the communal door is always a hassle.

The answer is some form of door release in each apartment linked with the ability to know who is at the door and if you want to let them in.

The two most commonly used systems are either video or audio.  Systems generally consist of a front door unit with either individual bell pushes for each flat or a more sophisticated digital keypad.  This unit will have a microphone and can also incorporate a cctv camera.

Individual flats have a loudspeaker for audio and optionall a video screen.  This is coupled with a release system that allows the front door to be opened.

It goes without saying that cost will always be a factor when deciding which type of system to fit.  Why not let us survey your premises and we will advise you on the best system to meet your requirement within your budget.
